EPFL is one of the two Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology. It has three core missions : training, research and technology transfer. The LSM operates as a part of the Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEL), concentrating its activities on the design and implementation of high-performance digital and mixed-signal VLSI circuits, language-based modeling and verification of SoC and multi-physics components, neuromorphic/bio-inspired system architectures, and integration of novel technologies for complex system design.
